About Us


The Glendale Association of REALTORS® is a trade organization established on July 22, 1920 to serve its membership by providing programs and services to enhance their ability to conduct business successfully with integrity and competency, without undue regulatory restraint, as well as to encourage the preservation of real property rights.


One of the oldest business activities in Glendale, the real estate industry was first organized on July 22, 1920 at a conference for insurance professionals. A few weeks later on September 10, the constitution was adopted at the first official real estate meeting, and the Glendale Realty Board was formed. By January 1923, membership grew to include 70 local professionals.

Over the years the organization would undergo several name changes:

1941: Glendale Real Estate Board
1946: Glendale Multiple Listing Association
1951: Glendale Board of REALTORS®
1995: Glendale Association of REALTORS® (GAOR)

Today GAOR's service area includes Glendale, Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, Montrose, La Crescenta, La Canada, and the Foothill areas. The Association continues to provide members with products and key services to help conduct their real estate business, with a renewed focus on promoting ethical and fair business practices and equality to all clients represented by REALTORS®.

From the beginning, GAOR officers and members have served their profession and communities in and around Glendale in many capacities – often receiving distinguished awards and recognition for their services on the Glendale City Council, to the Chamber of Commerce, on Planning Commissions, School Boards, and more.

i-Tech MLS (Site), an MLS of the Glendale Association of REALTORS® (GAOR) , respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects you to do the same.  Per the Digital Millennial Copyright Act (DMCA), i-Tech MLS will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement on the Site if submitted to i-Tech’s Copyright Agent as described below.  Upon receipt of a notice alleging copyright infringement, i-Tech MLS will take whatever action it deems appropriate within its sole discretion, including removal of the allegedly infringing materials.

If you believe that your intellectual property rights have been violated by i-Tech MLS or by a third party who has uploaded materials to the Site, please provide the following information to i-Tech's designated Copyright Agent listed below:

  1.     A description of the copyrighted work or other intellectual property that you claim has been infringed;
  2.     A description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the Site;
  3.     An address, telephone number, and e-mail address where i-Tech MLS can contact you and, if different, an e-mail address where the alleged infringing party, if not i-Tech MLS, can contact you;
  4.     A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner or other intellectual property rights owner, by its agent, or by law;
  5.     A statement by you under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright or intellectual property owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
  6.    Your electronic or physical signature.

i-Tech MLS may request additional information before removing any allegedly infringing material. In the event i-Tech removes the allegedly infringing materials, i-Tech MLS will immediately notify the person responsible for posting such materials that i-Tech removed or disabled access to the materials. i-Tech MLS may also provide the responsible person with your e-mail address so that the person may respond to your allegations.

i-Tech reserves the right to terminate, limit or suspend any user's access to the Site in the event of repeated infringing activity. If you believe that a user of this Site is a repeat infringer, please follow the above instructions to contact i-Tech's Copyright Agent.  Please include sufficient information to assist i-Tech in determining that the user repeatedly engaged in infringing activity.


GAOR has registered a designated agent with the Copyright Office pursuant to 17 U.S.C. 512(c).  The designated Copyright Agent for i-Tech MLS is:

I find a keyboard or mouse hard to use

If you find a keyboard or mouse difficult to use, speech recognition software such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking (link is external) may help you navigate web pages and online services. This software allows the user to move focus around a web page or application screen through voice controls.

I am deaf or hard of hearing

If you are deaf or hard of hearing, there are several accessibility features available to you.


A text transcript is a text equivalent of audio information that includes spoken words and non-spoken sounds such as sound effects. GAOR is working on adding transcripts to all scripted video and audio content.


A caption is transcript for the audio track of a video presentation that is synchronized with the video and audio tracks. Captions are generally rendered visually by being superimposed over the video, which benefits people who are deaf and hard-of-hearing, and anyone who cannot hear the audio (e.g., when in a crowded room). Volume controls

Your computer, tablet, or mobile device has volume control features. Each video and audio service has its own additional volume controls. Try adjusting both your device's volume controls and your media players' volume controls to optimize your listening experience.



Equal Opportunity and Cultural Diversity Committee

The mission of this committee is to design, promote and implement the Association's programs in areas of minority outreach, fair housing, affirmative marketing, fair lending practices and cultural awareness. The committee also monitors and evaluates legislative, legal and regulatory trends on issues related to equal access to shelter for all individuals.


Grievance and Professional Standards Committee

This committee determines whether or not a complaint, assuming that the facts alleged are true, should be forwarded to the Professional Standards Committee for hearing. If the activity on which the complaint is based runs afoul of the Code of Ethics, the matter is automatically forwarded for hearing. the committee is responsible for ensuring that the proper Articles of the Code of Ethics are cited in the complaint. If the committee rules that the complaint should be amended to cite the proper articles, the complainant must be given opportunity to amend the complaint. Should the complainant not agree with the committee's decision, a determination must be whether to amend the complaint with the Grievance Committee then named as the complainant. The committee is obligated to exercise caution in carrying out an investigation.The committee's task does not include gathering evidence of proving or disproving the complaint.

Local Government Legislative Relations Committee

This committee monitors Federal, state and local legislative and regulatory actions and trends, and interprets for member REALTORS and the general public, their impact on the real estate industry and home/property ownership. The committee recommends approaches to influence the course and form of legal legislation and works with the Association's Board of Directors in the formation of Association policyand implementation of state and local mandated legislation.

Coordinate the development of MLS information in conjunction with the MLS providers in order to enhance the professional abilities of the Members.

Recommend, interpret, disseminate and enforce the MLS Rules and Regulations.

All members of the Committee shall be REALTOR® Participants or subscribers in the Multiple Listing Service. This committee should be composed of eight or more members.



Public Relations Committee

Establish a positive public image of the REALTOR and the real estate profession in the community.

Allocate budget for annual contributions to community service projects.

All requests for civic and charitable contributions shall be submitted to Community Relations Committee for their recommendations and approval.
